
| The Writers: Jennifer Dick Fort Collins, Colorado. Jennifer is completing her MFA in poetry at Colorado State University. She also translates poetry from the French. Jennifers poetry has appeared in The Portland Review, Hammers, Ten Percent, Weird Sisters, Row Boat, PKA Advocate, and Arsis. She has poems forthcoming in Delmar and The Greyrock Review. Craig Dietz Denver, Colorado. Craig is an elementary school teacher with Denver public schools. He and his partner of nine years are highly active in the lesbigay civil rights movement. His story is a biographical account of his friend, Ron, who died in May 1996. Susan Lovejoy Houston, Texas. Susan is an elementary school teacher and a graduate student in Texas. Her work has appeared in The Houston Chronicle and in Laurels, the literary journal of The University of St. Thomas. Deanna Kern Ludwin Fort Collins, Colorado. Deanna serves as the internship coordinator for Colorado State Universitys English Department, where she also teaches literature and writing classes. Deannas work has appeared in various publications including ACM, The Brownstone Review, Cimarron Review, Dry Creek Review, Sundog: The Southeast Review. She has work forthcoming in Many Mountains Moving. Her interview with Colorado Poet Laureate Mary Crow was published in Michigan Quarterly Review. Joe Plambeck Greeley, Colorado. Joe is a student at the University of Northern Colorado, majoring in Theatre and English. He looks forward to moving to New York after graduation. Joe has been published in UNCs literary publication, The Crucible. Vittoria repetto New York, New York. Vittoria describes herself as a downtown working class New Yorker, second generation italian american lesbian poet. She is interested in telling stories that break the code of silence that surrounds both her personal and family life. Miriam R. Sachs Martin San Jose, California. Miriam puts together a womens open microphone, Fierce Words Tender, every other month in San Jose. She has had work published in Paginas Tortilleras, Free to Be, and New to North America. She has work forthcoming in the Latina lesbian anthology Sinverguenzas and another anthology, Latino Heretics. Elisabeth Tyler James Loveland, Colorado. Elisabeth is a graduate student and instructor in the English Department at the University of Northern Colorado. She lives in Loveland with her wife. They have four grown children and, in her words, "the most beautiful and wonderful grandson in the world." She is currently working on a novel. This is her first publication. The Artists: Greg Carmean Tucson, Arizona. Greg studied fine arts at the University of South Florida in Tampa. He was heavily influenced by his high school teacher, Karen Riggs Thompson. He is a member of the Durham Arts Guild in North Carolina. Greg has always painted the figure until most recently delving into total abstraction. He has shown in North Carolina, Florida, California, Arizona, and Toronto, Canada. Shiloh McCloud Port Townsend, Washington. Shilohs art is one of the ways she chooses to worship God. In her words, "what shows up on my canvas is in Gods hands and is the result of prayer." Shiloh has published many pieces including a woman-centered coloring book. Ronda Stone Tucson, Arizona. Ronda has a BFA from Colorado State University and is the photographer of the book, The Bones Remember. She has been in exhibits across the United States including one-woman shows and invitationals. Before leaving Colorado, Ronda produced a 50-piece photography exhibit, A Walk Through Diversity, in support of the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered community. She is doing direct service for Domestic Violence victims/survivors in the lesbian community. Ronda is the Art Editor of Gertrude. |
