Gertrude Press is a non-profit
501(c)3 (status pending) organization showcasing and developing the creative talents of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer-identified, and allied individuals.

Gertrude, Issue 11, Marks Publication of 200 Writers and Artists

Available now, Issue 11 of Gertrude, the biannual literary and arts journal of Gertrude Press, celebrates ten years of publishing and over 200 writers and artists published. This is an exciting milestone for the press.

"It is gratifying to have had the opportunity to publish so many talented queer and allied artists and writers over the past decade," said Eric Delehoy, Founding Editor. "What began as a small saddle-stitched journal has now blossomed into an important press that offers opportunities to many individuals who are often ignored or undervalued by mainstream press."

Gertrude Press has grown from a small, local publication in 1998 into an international press, annually receiving hundreds of submissions from nearly 40 states and 15 countries. A celebratory event is planned in Portland for mid-August and more information will be posted on our website soon. We hope you will choose to support queer press by purchasing Issue 11 or subscribing today.
