Rachel Trusty is an artist and educator currently living in Lawrence, KS. Her mixed-media work focuses on themes of gender, identity, womanhood, and femininity. Trusty holds a BA in Art Education from the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, AR and an MFA in studio art from Lesley College in Cambridge, MA. She currently attends the doctoral program in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at the  University of Kansas where her research focuses on how queer artists use materials and processes to discuss identity and community.
